The KSO has quickly become one of the most popular of the four models. The KSO features a thin, abrasion resistant stretch nylon and a breathable mesh upper that wraps your entire forefoot to "Keep Stuff Out." A single hook and loop (Velcro style) closure helps secure the fit of the KSO. A non-marking 3.5mm Vibram TC1 performance rubber sole is razor-siped for a sure grip, and a 2mm EVA midsole enhances plating protection and comfort. The FiveFingers solution for all that irritating grit, sand and gravel.
The Five Fingers KSO is best used for: Running, running training, fitness training, light trekking, bouldering, water sports and general travel, especially where you want the extra protection of the mesh upper to keep dist, dirt & debris out, i.e. stuff to keep you as comfortable as possible.
Special Note:
Again, it should be noted that not every foot fits well within FiveFingers, they are a very different approach to traditional footwear and "break" a lot of the old rules of what a shoe should be.
It's important to understand that the "break in" time for your foot to get used to the complete lack of padding and support can vary from person to person. Some people put them on and in a few days they feel great, for others the process can take a few weeks to be able to wear them distance running or all day casually. For a few the process can take months before they are truely comfortable for all day wear.

How to measure your foot:
For best results in finding your size we recommend measuring both feet, heel to toe:
Standing with your heels against a flat wall
1.Slide ruler under each foot
2.Be sure to measure the end of the longest toe
3.Take the longer of the two measurements
If your foot length varies by more than 0.4cm, it will be difficult to get a precise fit for both feet.
If your second toe is more than 0.4cm longer than your big toe it will be difficult to get a precise fit

What if they don't fit me when I get them home?
Because of the toe fitting element of the Vibram Five Fingers they, on rare occasions don't fit, or are just the wrong size. We understand it is not possible to try them on instore. For this reason if the pair you have don't fit or suit you please send us an e-mail and we can come up with the best way of fixing the problem from sending through a replacement size or offering a refund.
